Angle iron (structural angle) is a length of steel bent to a 90-degree "L" profile, which gives it far more rigidity than flat bar of the same weight. It is one of the most versatile fabrication materials there is: it braces, frames, supports, and reinforces. Metal Warehouse Inc. stocks equal-leg and unequal-leg angle from 1/2 inch up to 3-1/2 inch legs, in thicknesses from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch, in standard 20 foot lengths, plus select aluminum angle for lighter corrosion-resistant work.
