80x120 Agricultural Barn - Sherman, TX
Project Overview
A Grayson County farmer needed a large storage and equipment barn to replace an aging wood structure that had become a maintenance liability. Metal Warehouse Inc. supplied a complete weld-up metal building package: engineered drawings, primary and secondary framing, R-Panel roof and wall panels in Galvalume, plus all trim, fasteners, doors, and a sliding barn door. The new structure gives the owner 9,600 square feet of clear-span storage, no interior columns, and virtually zero maintenance for the next 50+ years.
The Challenge
The site had challenging soil conditions requiring special foundation engineering. The customer also needed the building to clear a large combine harvester, requiring a custom eave height of 18 feet.
Our Solution
We engineered the package to the required 18-foot clear height with a weld-up frame system that gave the builder flexibility on the foundation footprint. All panels were roll-formed to exact lengths at our Sherman facility to minimize on-site waste.
Outcome
The building was erected in under two weeks by the owner's contractor. The customer reported it was the easiest large building project they had undertaken - every component arrived labeled, pre-cut, and ready to assemble.
